We'll be running our usual school buses from Monday 15 March, plus we'll be doing all we can to help keep pupils safe whilst travelling with us.

Keeping you safe

We've been running bus services throughout the pandemic, and have safety measures in place to keep everyone safe. To find out more about what we're doing, hop over to the 'Travelling by bus during the Coronavirus outbreak' page here.

Face coverings

The Welsh Government has advised that if social distancing cannot be maintained, particularly with the youngest learners, face coverings should be worn anywhere on the school estate, including in the classroom by staff at primary and secondary schools and secondary school learners. Face coverings should also be worn by pupils in year 7 and above on dedicated school transport.

Click here to go to the Welsh Government website for their statement about face coverings in schools and colleges.

Tickets

Tickets can be purchased on the bus by cash and contactless, or on our iOS and Android app mobile app or by our personal travel card iffcard (online). Head over to our fares and ticket page for all our fare information.

Why getting the bus is good for everyone

  • Reverting to increased numbers in car journeys on the school run will generate greater congestion and impact negatively on local air quality, especially around schools.
  • You can use our journey planner to see how many steps you've walked today and how many carbon emissions you've saved.
  • Travelling by bus can lead to improved air quality, helping to keep us healthier. Did you know the average walk to a bus stop in the UK is around 1,000 steps? If you do that five days a week for a year that over 260 miles – that’s the equivalent of walking to Disneyland Paris!
