Free travel in Newport

We are pleased to announce that Cardiff Bus will be taking part in the Newport City Council free bus travel initiative from Tuesday 1st March until the last bus on Thursday 31st March, on service 30 journeys within Newport city boundary. 

The details of this initiative are as follows: 

When: Tuesday 1st March until the last bus on Thursday 31st March - 7 days a week

What: free travel for all journeys on service 30 where the customer boards and alights within the Newport City boundary, i.e. journeys that start and end between Newport Bus Station and Wyevale Garden Centre bus stops.

Who: everyone travelling by bus within Newport City boundary on service 30. Concessionary pass holders are required to scan their passes as normal. Passengers travelling out of Newport to Cardiff, or from Cardiff to Newport will need to purchase their normal tickets.
