Jubilee weekend timetables and things to do

We'll follow different timetables on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 June due to bank holidays for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Our Customer Service department will be closed from 18:00 on Wednesday 1 June until 07:00 on Monday 6 June.
What to do...
Penarth Pier
Our summer service to Penarth Pier will begin on Thursday 2 June. This service will run between Cardiff city centre and Penarth Pier via Cardiff Bay and Penarth town centre on a daily basis. Normal Cardiff Bus fares apply.
Cardiff Bay
Hop on the baycar (service 6) or services 1, 2, 5, 8 to Cardiff Bay. Take a stroll along the barrage or relax in one of the restaurants and cafes near the waterfront. Take the opportunity to take a look at HMS Severn who will be docked in Alexandra Dock, Cardiff Bay until Monday.
Cardiff Castle Jubilee Concert

A host of Welsh Stars come together to celebrate with an afternoon of fun music and laughter with bands, choirs and orchestras in iconic Cardiff Castle.
Hosted by Aled Jones and Shan Cothi and starring amongst others, Bonnie Tyler, Mike Peters from The Alarm, West End legend John Owen Jones and drumming weatherman Owain Wyn Evans with comedy and variety favourite Mike Doyle.

Radyr & Morganstown Jubilee Beacon Lighting
Service 63
Join the Radyr & Morganstown Platinum Jubilee Committee on the 2nd June for an evening of entertainment. The evening will start around 18.30 with a crown making competition and entertainment specifically for the younger residents. Enjoy your picnic with support of the RMA BBQ and Bar open – or simply bring your own. Live music and entertainment all evening from local acts until the Beacon is lit at 21:45 and then the Fireworks display can begin!

Cwtch Together Inclusive Jubilee Garden Party

Services 1, 2, 92, 94
Activities include making crowns, finding the jewels in the sand, making purple playdough, sensory area, ball pit, icing biscuits and raffle. There will also be food and soft drinks for children with additional needs/ disabled children and their families promoting inclusive play for all. There will be 2 sessions which will need to be booked in advance, the morning session at 10.30am – 12.45pm then the afternoon session 1.15pm until 3.30pm and will be run by qualified playworkers. Parents/carers are required to stay with the children and is a great opportunity to meet other like minded parents to share knowledge and experiences with while their children play happily with the playworkers who facilitate play.
